Steve Oliff launched his professional career through connections made at comic book conventions. Early in his career he worked on titles such asThe Illustrated Roger Zelazny, a Howard Chaykin graphic novel, served as a direct bridge to Marvel Comics, and eventually earned his first job coloring Bill Sienkiewicz's debut Moon Knight story inThe Hulk! magazine. This opportunity cemented his entry into the industry, leading to him coloring hundreds of comics in the years that followed.
